Account Management

How do I create an account?

Creating a DeepPaper AI account is simple:

  1. Go to DeepPaper AI
  2. Click "Sign Up" in the navigation bar
  3. Select "Sign up with Google" and follow the prompts to complete registration
    • If you have multiple Google accounts, choose the one you want to use with DeepPaper AI
    • Currently, we only support Google account registration

After signing up, you'll receive 75 free trial credits to explore premium features like paper analysis and chat.

How do I log in?

  1. Visit DeepPaper AI
  2. Click "Sign In" in the navigation bar
  3. Select "Sign in with Google" and use your registered Google account

Paper Management

How can I add papers?

You can add papers to DeepPaper AI in several ways:

  1. Upload PDF: Directly upload PDF files from your computer
  2. Paper Link: Import papers using links from platforms like arXiv, PubMed, medRxiv, or bioRxiv

After logging in, click "Add New Paper" on your dashboard to get started.

What paper formats do you support?

We currently support academic papers in PDF format, including:

  • Journal articles
  • Conference papers
  • Preprints (including arXiv format)
  • Theses and dissertations

What's the maximum file size for uploads?

File size limits vary by subscription plan. Check our Pricing page for details.

If your PDF exceeds the limit, you can either compress it or upgrade your subscription.

How can I organize my papers?

Use our Research Projects feature to organize your papers:

  • Create projects for different research topics
  • Add papers to relevant projects
  • Manage projects by viewing, editing, or deleting them

On the library page, you can assign papers to existing projects or select a project when editing paper details.

Paper Analysis

How long does paper analysis take?

Analysis time varies based on paper length, complexity, and system load:

  • Standard papers (10-15 pages): 1-2 minutes
  • Long papers (30+ pages): 1-3 minutes
  • Complex papers (with many formulas/figures): 2-5 minutes

How can I get more detailed analysis?

For deeper analysis:

  1. Go to the specific analysis module on the paper details page
  2. Click "Start Analysis" if not generated yet
  3. Click "Regenerate" to update existing analysis
  4. Use "Advanced Analysis" to generate all results at once

Each analysis action uses the corresponding number of credits.

Can I export analysis results?

Yes, subscribers can:

  • Download the full paper text or PDF
  • Export analysis results in Markdown format or copy directly to Obsidian
  • Download ChatPapers AI conversations in Markdown format
  • Copy analysis results and chat history in HTML format to Zotero or other HTML-compatible editors

ChatPapers AI

How do I use ChatPapers AI?

  1. Click the chat icon on the paper details page
  2. Type your question in the input box
  3. The system generates an answer based on the paper content
  4. Continue the conversation with follow-up questions

Are there any usage limits?

Yes, ChatPapers AI has these limits:

  1. Maximum 10 questions per conversation
  2. 1 credit per question (Credits are calculated based on 25,000 tokens per unit.)
  3. Questions must relate to the paper content

When you reach the limit, start a new conversation to continue.

How can I get the best results?

For optimal answers:

  1. Be specific with your questions
  2. Use academic terminology from the paper
  3. Ask one question at a time
  4. Reference specific paper sections when needed
