Credit and Subscription FAQ
Answers to common questions about credits and billing at DeepPaper AI.
Credit System FAQ
What is DeepPaper AI's credit system?
Credits are our way of measuring AI usage. Here's what each feature costs:
- New paper (basic analysis): 5 credits
- Advanced analysis: 8 credits
- Regenerating a single analysis: 1 credit per item
- Asking a question: 1 credit per question
Note: We calculate credits based on 25,000 tokens. Larger papers use proportionally more credits.
How do credits work?
Your credits follow these rules:
- You get 75 free credits when you sign up
- These free credits never expire
- They stay with your account when you upgrade to paid
- Paid credits are used before free credits
- If you run out of paid credits mid-cycle, we'll use your free credits automatically
- Paid subscription credits reset monthly (unused credits don't roll over)
- Your reset date matches your subscription start date
How do I check my credits?
Find your credit information in "Account Settings" under "Credit Usage Record":
- Your current balance and total allocation
- Breakdown by feature usage
- Complete history with timestamps, features used, and credit costs
What if I run out of credits?
When your credits are depleted:
- You won't be able to use credit-based features
- You'll see an "Insufficient Credits" message showing what you need
- You can either upgrade your plan for more credits or wait for your next monthly refresh
