Getting Started Guide

This guide will help you start using DeepPaper AI in minutes. You'll go from creating an account to analyzing your first paper in no time.

1. Create Your Account

  1. Go to the DeepPaper AI website
  2. Click "Sign Up" in the top right
  3. Create your account using:
    • Google account
  4. You'll get free trial credits when you sign up

2. The Main Screen

After logging in, you'll see the DeepPaper AI dashboard:

  • Top Bar: Quick access to features
    • My Papers
    • Add New Paper
    • Research Projects
    • Paper Search
  • Main Area: Shows your papers or analysis results

3. Add Your First Paper

You can add papers in two ways:

Add with a Link

  1. Click "Add New Paper" on the home page
  2. Paste the paper's URL
  3. We support links from:
    • arXiv (like https://arxiv.org/abs/2106.09685)
    • medRxiv (like https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2024.07.17.24310418v1)
    • PubMed (like https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/31851653)
  4. Click "Create Paper"

Upload a PDF

  1. Click "Add New Paper" on the home page
  2. Click to select a file in the "Upload PDF" section
  3. Pick your PDF file
  4. Click "Create Paper"

4. Processing Your Paper

After you submit a paper, DeepPaper AI will:

  1. Download the PDF (if you used a link)
  2. Pull out the text
  3. Run basic analysis

This usually takes 30 seconds to 2 minutes, depending on the paper's length.

5. View Your Results

Once processing is done:

  1. Click the paper title in your list
  2. On the details page, you'll see:
    • AI Analysis: Paper summary and overview
    • Abstract Analysis: Key questions answered
  3. For more details, click "Advanced Analysis"

6. Ask Questions

You can also chat with the paper:

  1. Click "Smart Q&A" on the right side
  2. Type your question (like "What's new in this paper?")
  3. Hit Enter or click send
  4. Get an answer based on the paper

7. Organize Your Papers

As you add more papers, keep them organized:

  1. Create projects for related papers
  2. Archive papers you don't need right now
  3. Search your library to find papers fast
